וַיְהִי֙ לִתְקֻפ֣וֹת הַיָּמִ֔ים וַתַּ֥הַר חַנָּ֖ה וַתֵּ֣לֶד בֵּ֑ן וַתִּקְרָ֤א אֶת־שְׁמוֹ֙ שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל כִּ֥י מֵיְהוָ֖ה שְׁאִלְתִּֽיו׃
און עס איז געװען נאָכן אומדרײ פֿון די טעג. האָט חנה אױסגעטראָגן און האָט געבאָרן אַ זון; און זי האָט גערופֿן זײַן נאָמען שמואל, װײַל: ״פֿון גאָט האָב איך אים אױסגעבעטן. ״
I Samuel
Eili then answered and said, "Go in peace. The God of Yisroel will grant your request that you have asked of Him."
I Samuel
And I have dedicated him to Adonoy. All the days that he lives he is dedicated to Adonoy." He then prostrated himself to Adonoy.
